Our standard sheet steel is coated with polyurethane based primer, followed by a top coat of Polyvinylidene Fluoride. This combination gives excellent chemical, chalking, solvent, and UV resistance, coupled to high flexibility, exceptional durability, excellent resistance to dirt, and high colour retention. We consider this permutation of primer and top coat gives the best all round protection of our steel sheet.
We also offer epoxy, polyester, and water-soluble acrylic acid based primers, and a full range of polyester top coats if desired. Details are available on request.
Our steel sheet is prepared and coated in precisely the same way as the steel used in the construction of the workshops at Fitzpatrick Nuclear Power Plant in the USA, which was constructed in 1971. As of this date (April 2008) the steel is still perfect, with excellent retention of colour.
We offer a quality guarantee of our steel and coatings of 20 years.
